Out and about
There is a wealth of interesting things to do and see in this part of Devon. We are just 5 miles from the Elizabethan town of Totnes, with a castle, museum and ancient buildings as well as some great shopping, food producers and fine restaurants. Many National Trust properties are close to us, including Greenaway, the newly opened former home and garden of Agatha Christie. You are spoilt for choice, but you could also consider:
- Horse Riding or Treking on Dartmoor
- Farm tour of the original West Country organic farm, Riverford, followed by lunch in their restaurant
- Cookery Classes with Trina by arrangement
- Wine and Cheese Tasting at Sharpham Vineyard Estate
- Ways with Words Literary Festival at Dartington (7th – 17th July 2006)

- Boat Trips on the River Dart
- Fishing and/or Sailing
- Walking and Bird Watching
- English Heritage Castles
